HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-075Resorution RESOLUTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE DISSOLVING THE PRIVATE INDUSTRY COUNCIL WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolutions 80-7, 80-168, 82-12, 83-121, 83-135, 84-79, 8b-72, 93-b2, 98-64 establishing and/or amending the structure and authorities of the federally required Private Industrial Council, as provided for under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) and the Job Training Partnership Act {JTPA); and WHEREAS, federal regulations no longer require local Private Industry Councils; and WHEREAS, there was a private, non-profit agency named the Private Industry Council of Butte County, Inc., which was an agency separate from the County and from the federally required Private Industry Council; and WHEREAS, the local federally required Private Industry Council also served as the Board of Directors of the Private Industry Council of Butte County, Inc., a private, non-profit entity, separate and apart from its function as a Private Industry Council under federal regulations; and WHEREAS, the Private Industry Council of Butte County, Inc. closed its doors in February 2011; and WHEREAS, this resolution holds no force over the non-profit agency known as the Private Industry Council of Butte County, Inc., which is an entity separate from the County. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California that the federally required Private Industry Council, as previously defined by federa! legislation, is dissolved.
