ON BEHALF OF THE NORTHERN SACRAMENTO VALLEY INTEGRATED
REGIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT BOARD
TO DEVELOP AN INTEGRATED REGIONAL WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
FOR THE COUNTIES OF BUTTE, COLUSA, GLENN, SHASTA,
BUTTER AND TEHAMA
WHEREAS, on March 29, 2410, the Board of Supervisors authorized staff to
work in cooperation with the other counties to secure funding for the Northern
Sacramento Valley Integrated Regional Water Management planning effort; and
WHEREAS, the other counties agreed to have Butte County serve as the fiscal
agent for this effort and subrnit an application for funding; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors through Resolution 10-1.32 authorized the
submittal of an application by the Butte County Department of Water and Resource
Conservation, for funding under the Proposition 84 Integrated Regional Water
Management Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) for the development of an Integrated
Regional Water Management Plan by and through the signature of the Director, Paul
Gosselin; and
WHEREAS, the Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation
has been notified that they have been awarded funding under the Proposition 84
application for the development of an Integrated Regional Water Management Plan; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte:
1. The grant agreement for Prop 84 funding from the California Department of
Water Resources to develop an Integrated Regional Water Management Plan on
RESOLUTION OF THE BUTTE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
AUTHORIZING THE BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF WATER AND
RESOURCE CONSERVATION
TO ACCEPT GRANT FUNDING UNDER PROP 84
behalf of the Northern Sacramento Va11ey integrated Regional Water
Management Board {DWR #4600009358) is approved; and
2. The Butte County Department of Water and Resource Conservation, is authorized
to accept grant funding totaling $900,000 from the California Department of
Water Resources to develop an Integrated Regional Water Management Plan an
behalf of the Northern Sacramento Valley Integrated Regional Water
Management Board.
3. Such grant agreement shall be administered through the Departrnent and managed
by Vickie Newlin who is hereby designated as the Project Manager for the project
and shall assume the associated responsibilities of the Project Manager.

day of September 2011 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguc~i and Chair Lambert
