AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND AMENDING SECTIONS
OF THE BUTTE COUPdTY CODE PERTAINING TO THE
OFFICE OF PUBLIC GUARDIAN
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of California, does ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 2-45. of the Butte County
Code is amended to read as follows:
"Sec, 2-45, The public guardian shall be
appointed by the Board of Supervisors to
serve at the will of the board at a salary
to be determined by the boardo"
Section 2, Section 2-460 of the Butte County
Code is amended to read as follows:
"Seco 2-46o Pursuant to division 8 of the
State Welfare and Institutions Code, the
public guardian shall file an official bond
in the amount of fifty thousand dollars,"
Section 3, Section 2-47a of the Butte County
Code is hereby repealed,
Section 4, Section 2-48. of the Butte County
Code is hereby repealed.
Section 5, Section 2-49, of the Butte County
Code is amended to read as follows:
"Seco 2-49a Necessary expenses of the
ppublic guardian may be ppaid or incurred
by him in any guard~.anship proceeding, and
when so paid or incurred shall become a
county charge; but any such expense shall
be reimbursed to-the county insofar as
funds are or become available therefore
in the guardianship estate to which said
expenses appertaino"

Section 6, Section 2-52. of the Butte County
Code is amended to read as follows:
"Sec, 2-52o The functions, duties, powers
and obligations of the public guardian shall
be as prescribed in division 8 of the State
Welfare and Institutions Code, except as
h.ereinabove otherwise expressly providedo"
Section 7, This Ordinance shall take effect thirty
(30) days after its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against same
at least once in a newspaper published in the County of
Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Butte, State of California, on the 25th day
of August , 1970, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisor Howsden, Supervisor Maxon, Supervisor
Supervisor McKilZop, Supervisor Reynolds, Chairman
NOES: None Dunaway
ABSENT: None
