BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 1119 l 2 3 41 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 I2 13 ' 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIl~ITT ON CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF dALTFORNIA (Vehicle Code Sections 22357 & 22358) The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California does ordain as follows: Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows: That a prima facie speed limit of forty-five (.45) miles per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT ~5 MILES' signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highway, to wit: DAYTON ROAD FROM 1200'NORTH OF RODGERS AVENUE TO M~INTOSH AVENUE. Section 2: All ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and tern of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in- validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inaperati~ or invalid. Section The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie sp limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
