AN INTERIM ORDINANCE AMENDING COUNTY' ORDINANCE. 925, ',
CONSOLIDATING "R-l" (SINGLE-FAMILx RESIDENTIAL).
l The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
3 and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
4 SECTION L The hereinafter described area situate in the
~ County of Butte, State of California, shall be. and it is hereby
8 zoned as an "R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District, and such
7 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
8 regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned
9 being located in Paradise, California.
10 Beginning at the northwest corner of Shadybrook Sub-
division Unit No. 2, recorded in Map Book 31, at
11 page 45, in the Butte County Recorder's Office;
thence easterly along the north boundary of said
12 subdivision and along the north boundary of Lots
12 & 10 of the Paradise Orchard Tract, recorded in
13 Map Book 7 at page 16 in the Butte County Recorder's
Office, to a point 2D0 feet from the northwest
14 corner of said Lot 10; thence southerly parallel
with and 200 feet from the westerly line of said
15 Lot 10 and the westerly line of Lot 9 of said.
tract to the southerly line of said Lot 9; thence
16 easterly along said southerly line 71.2 feet; thence
southerly parallel with-and 271.2 feet from the
17 westerly line of Lot 8 of said tract a distance of
94 feet; thence westerly parallel with and 94 feet
18 from the northerly line of said Lot 8, a distance
of 67.2 feet; thence southerly parallel with and
19 204 feet from the westerly line of said Lot 8 to
the southerly line of said Lot 8; thence easterly

of 124.90 feet; thence sa~therly parallel with and

said tract to the southerly line of said Lot 7;
22 thence westerly along the southerly line of said
Lot 7, a distance of 128.76 feet; thence southerly
23 parallel with and 120 feet from the westerly
line of Lot 6 of said tract to the northerly right-
24 of-way line of Wagstaff Road; thence westerly along
said northerly right-of-way line, a distance of
23 1443.05 feet; thence N00°36'50"W 265.10 feet; thence
S55°41'20"F, 78.80 feet to the most westerly corner
26 of Lot 2 of Shadybrook Subdivision, recorded in
Book 27, at page l9 in the office of the Butte
'27 County Recorder; thence N6°16'40"E, 225.74 feet
to the northwest corner of Lot.3 of said sub-
28 division; thence N69°43'20"W, 5.88 feet to the
southwest corner of Lot 4 of said subdivision;
29 thence NO°32'35"W, 619.22 feet to the northwest
corner of Lat 8 of said subdivision, said corner is
30 on the south line of the Shadybrook Subdivision Unit
No. 2, recorded in the Office of the Butte County
3]. Recorder in Book 31 at page 45; thence northwesterly
along the boundary of said Subdivision Unit No. 2,
32 to the point of beginning.
1'. SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an
2 "R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District:
3 2.1 USES PERMITTED
4 a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
5 trailers.
g b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
ry c. Household pets (but not including livestock, poultry
g or poisonous reptiles.
J 2,2 LOT AREA:
10 a. Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
11 shall be no Less than eight thousand, one hundred

13 2.3 LOT WIDTH:
14 a. Minimum lot width shall not be less than sixty--five
15 (65) feet.
lfi 2.4 FRONT YARD:
17 a. Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the
'lg centerline of the road, except where the road is
19 classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
2p Road the minimim building setback requirement shall
2Z be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of said
22 road.
Zg 2.5 SIDE YARDS:
2;¢ a. Minimum side yard shall not be less than five (5)
2g feet.
,26 2.6 The following uses subject to securing a use permit
27 in each case :
~g a. Golf courses and country clubs.
29 b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
3Q firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools
31 and public utility buildings.

SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not specif-
ically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
,hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect im-
mediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
of all members voting for and against the same in the
Paradise Post a newspaper in general circulation in
the County of Butte, State of California.
