AN INTERIM ORDINANCE AMENDING COUNTY 0 RDINANCE 925,
CONSOLIDATING "R-1" (SINGLE-_I'AMILY RESIDENTIAL)
DISTRICTS
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District, and such
area shall be.subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
,regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so
zoned being located in Paradise, California, more particularly
described as follows:
Lots 4, 5, 6 and 7 of "Firland Acres", per map re-
corded in Map Book 16 on Pages 34 and 35, in the
office of the Recorder, County of Butte, State of
California, containing 59.2 acres.
SECTIOPT 2. The fallowing regulations shall apply in an
"R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District:
2.1 USES PERt&TTTED
a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets (but not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptilesl.
2.2 LOT AREA:
a. Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be no less than eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2.3 LOT WIDTH:
a. Minimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five
(65) feet.
2.4 FRONT YARD:
a. Min~:mum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the
l centerline of the road, except where the road is
2 classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
~ Road the minimum building setback requirement shall
4 be fifty-five (55) feet fzom the centerline of said
6 road.
'g 2.5 SIRE YARDS:
7 a. P4inimum side yard shall not be less than five (5)
$ feet.
9 2.6 The following uses subject to securing a use permit
10 in each case:
11 a. Golf courses and country clubs.
12 b. Public and quasi_public uses including churches,
~3 firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools
14 and public utility buildings.
15 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
le specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
1? SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
18 Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
19 this Ordinance in full.
2Q SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
21 hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
22 Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
23 the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
24 its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
~~ Enabling Ordinance.
26 SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect
27 immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
28 (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
29 of all members voting for and against the same in the
3Q paradise Post a newspaper in general circulation in
31 the County of Butte, State of California.
