AN ORDTNANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTX OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "AR°MFI" (AGRICULTURAL
RESIDENTIAL - MOBILE HOME) DTSTRTCT, PURSUANT TO
1 ORDINANCE N0. 475, AS AMENDED.
g The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
4 California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County,
S being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County, as amended,
6 DO ORDAIN as follows:
~ SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area, situate in the
$ County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
9 zoned as an "AR-MH" (Agricultural-Residential-Mobile Home) District
10 and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted
11 uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said
12 area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area, particular 1,
13 described as follows:
14 Being located south of Oroville, and being a portion
of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Tl9N R4E,
15 MDB&M, more particularly described as follows:
16 The northerly 660 feet of the easterly 132 feet of
the west half of the Southwest Quarter and the southerly
17 1980 feet of the easterly 330 feet of the west half
of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 32; and all
18 of the east half of the Southwest Quarter of said
Section 32 lying west of the fallowing described
19 line: beginning at a point in the centerline of
Kuse1 Road, said point being 350 feet west of the
20 centerline of Lincoln Blvd. (Palermo Rd.), thence
southerly, parallel with and 350 feet westerly of
21 .the centerline of Lincoln Blvd. (Palermo Rd.) to
the south line of said Section 32, T19N R4E,
82 MDB&M, containing 72.2 acres m/1.
23 SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "AR-MH" DISTRICT:
24 The following regulations shall apply in an "AR-MII°
25 District:
26 2.1 USES PERMITTED
27 a. Single-family dwellings.
28 b. Mobile Homes - to house one family, when such Mobile
29 Home is the only housing facility located on the
30 premises, provided the following conditions are
31 conformed to:
32 1) The gross area of the Mobile Home shall not
be less than 500 square feet.

2) All sanitary facilities shall conform to State
Statutes and regulations and to local require-
ments of the Butte County Health Department.
3) All electrical installations shall conform to
State Statutes and regulations as administered
by the Building Division of the Butte County
Public Works Department.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
d. Agricultural uses.
e. Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
1} Minimum lot area to be devoted to residential
use shall be not less than eight thousand,
one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2) Exclusive of the area devoted to the resi-
dential use, the following ~1ot or parcel areas
shall be required for each animal raised or kept
on the premises:
a} For each horse or head of cattle over
one (l) year of age - eight thousand one
hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
b) For each head of swine over ten (10)
weeks of age -- eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
c) For each head of sheep or goats - two
thousand (2,000) square feet.
2.2 THE FOLLOWING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
IN EACH CASE:
a. Duplex dwellings and multiple-family dwellings.
b. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
c. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,

firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.
d. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
e. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
f. Nurseries and plant gardens.
2.3 LOT AEtEA REQUIRED: Minimum required area of a lot
per dwelling unit shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five {8,125) square feet.
2.4 LOT WIDTH REQUTRED: Minimum lot width shall be not
less than sixty-five (65) feet. II
2.5 FRONT YARD REQUIRED: Minimum front yard shall be
fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where
the road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five
(55) feet from the centerline of the road.
2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum side yard shall not be Less than five (5) feet.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this ordinance shall be from and
after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be and it is hereby de-
clared to be in full force from and after thirty (30) days after
the date of its passage; and before the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after its passage this ordinance shall be published once with

the names of the members of the Board voting for and against it
in the Orovil~l_e_Mercurv_-Register a newspaper in
general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 19th day of
January ~, 1971, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Gilman, Madigan, Maxon, McBillop, and
Chairman Reynolds
