BUTTE COUNTY ORDINANCE N0. 1~1
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 22350
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California
does ordain as follows:

Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described
come within the provisions of Section 22355 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways and determines and declare
a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles pe:
hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MIL:
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highways to wit:
1. MUIR AVENUE FROM STATE HIGHWAY 32 TO BELL ROAD.
2. RODEO AVENUE FROM MUIR AVENUE TO NORD AVENUE.
3. NORD AVENUE FROM BELL ROAD TO RODEO AVENUE.
Section 2: A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and term
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
tive or invalid.
Section 1,.: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
i before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
