The Berard of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so
zoned being located in Paradise, California, mare particularly
described as follows:
A11 that part of the southwest quarter of Section 16,
T22N R3E, within the Paradise Irrigation District;
and, all of Section 21, T22P! R3E, located north of
Skyway; excepting all that area of said Section 21
within 350 Feet of the centerline of Skyway.
SECTION 2, The following regulations shad apply in~an
~~R-1" {Single-Family Residential) District:
2,1 USES PERMITTED
a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b, Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets (but not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptiles.}
2.2 LOT AREA:
a. Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be no less than eight thousand, one hundred
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.

2, a. Minimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five
g (65) feet.
~' 2.4 FRONT YARD:
5 a. Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50~ feet from the
6 centerline of the road, except where the road is
7 classified by the County as a Federal. Aid Secondary
~ Road the minimum building setback requirements shall
s' be fifty-five (55~ feet from the centerline of said
~~? road.
Zl 2.5 SIDE YARDS:
12` a. Minimum side yard shall not be less than five (5?
13 f eet .
14 2.6 The follo~.aing uses subject to securing a use permit
l5; in each case:
16- a. Golf courses and country clubs.
l7 b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
~$ firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools
I9 and public utility buildings.
2a SECTION 3. A11 uses of land within the district not
21 specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
22 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
23` Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
24! this Ordinance in full.
25 SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
26 hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the

1` Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of ',
2 the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
~'; its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
4 Enabling Ordinance.
5 SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect im-
6 mediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
7 (15) days after its passage shall be published once with the names
g of all members voting for and against the same in the

10 the County of Butte, State of California.
11 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
12 County of Butte, State of California, on the ~~ day of
