AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 11-15 AND 11-16
OF THE BUTTE COUNTY CODE PERTAINING TO JUNK
DEALER'S LICENSES
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, does ordain as follows:
Section la Section ll-l5 of the Butte County Code is
amended to read as follows:
"'Sec. 11-15. Same--Action by planning commissionp
The planning commission, upon receiving a copy
of the application, shall ascertain at once whether
the location stated on the application is zoned so
that the business proposed may, by permit, be
conducted thereo If so, the planning commission
shall contact the applicant and give full instructions
regarding compliance with the county zoning regulations,
and if a use permit be required, application therefor
shall be made by applicant, and the regular and usual
fee paid by applicant, which fee sha11 be deposited
in the general fund of county and shall not be subject
to refund. The planning commission shall make a
report of its findings to the license collector,
together with a recommendation as to whether or not
the applicant should be granted a license, within
thirty days after the receipt of the applicationo
The Planning Commission recommendation, if in favor
of the granting of a license shall also recommend the
amount of corporate surety bond or cash deposit
to be submitted to the license collector pursuant to
section 11-16.
Section 2~ Section 11-16 of the Butte County Code is

"Sec. 11-16. IsSUance.
The License collector sha11, upon receiving the
approval of the sheriff and planning commission, and
upon receipt of a corporate surety bond ar cash deposit
in the amount recommended by the planning cammission
and in a form approved by county counsel, issue the
license applied for upon payment of the license fee.
Said bond shall be deposited by the license collector
with the county clerk,"
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty
(3~ days after its passage, and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after its passage, it shall be published with
the names of the members voting far and against same at least
once in a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of
California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the `County
of Butte, State of California, an the ~d day of March ,
197'1, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Gilman, Madigan, Maxon, McKillop,
and Chairman Reynolds
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
