ORDINANCE N0. 1161
AN INTERTM ORDINANCE AMENDING COUNTY ORDINANCE 925,'
CONSOLIDATING "R.-1" (SINGLE-FAMTLY RESTDENTIAL)
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter-described area situated :in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "R-1" (Single-Family Residential) District, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zone
being located in Paradise, California.
The south 1980 ft of the northwest quarter of Section..
7, T22N R4E, MDB&M.
Also beginning at the center of Section 7, T22N R4E;
thence south along said section line 840 ft; thence
west 665 ft.; thence north 330 ft.; thence west 225''
ft.; thence north 335 ft.; thence west 330.52 ft.;
thence north 170 ft.; thence east along the east-ti~Jest
line of said Section 7, to the point of beginning.
Containing 136 acres more or less.
SECTION 2. The foilowin regulations shall apply in an
"R-l" (Single-Family Residential District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED
a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets (but not including livestock, poultry
o.r poisonous reptiles}.

a. P4inimum required area of a lot per dcaelling unit
shall be no less than eight thousand, one hundre d
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
2.3 LOT LaTIDTH:
a. 1'7inimum lot width shall not ba less than sixty-five
(65} feet.

a. n7inimum front yard sha11 be fifty (50) feet from the
centerline of the road, except where the road is
classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
Road the minimum building setback requirement shall
be fifty five (55) feet from the centerline of said
road. '
2. 5 STDIi YARDS
a. Artinimum side yard shall not be less than five (5),
feet.
2.6 The following uses subject to securing a use r~exmit
in each case
a. Golf courses and country clubs.
b:. Public and quasi•••public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, narks, playgrounds, schools
and public utility buildings. •

ically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.

'Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in fu11.

1 SECTIO;. 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
2 hereby imposed within the district shall be as prpvided in the
3 Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions'of
4 the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
5 its effective date become a supplement to and Dart of the Zoning
6 Enahlina Ordin ance.
q SECTION 'o. This emergency ordinance shall take effect im--
8 mediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
9 (15~ days after its passage shall be published once :tirith the names
10 of all members voting for and against the same in the _p_ax_~c~.i~

12 the County of F3utte, State of California.
