AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PO RTION OF TI3E COUNTY OF
BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "RT-1" (rRINIA2UM-
DEI3SITY RESIDENTIAL-TRAILER) DISTRICT, PURSUAN`1'
TO ORDIPTA~ICE 4 75 , OF SAID COUNTY AS AMENDED AND
REPEALING ORDINANCE No. 1073
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, under and pursuant to ordinance Na. 475 of said
County, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, as amended, DOES
ORDAIN as follows:
sECTION 1.
The hereinbelow described area, situated in the County
of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned
an "RT-1 " (Minimum-Density Residential-Trailer) District, and
such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted
uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided, said
area being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County
near Oroville, California, and particularly described as follows:
A portion of the South half of Section 1 and
the East half of Section l2, Township 19 North,
Range 4 East, M.D.M., and a portion of the West
half of Section 6 and the West half of Section
7, Township 19 North, Range 4 East, M.D.M.,
Butte County, California, more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the quarter corner common to the
above said Sections 1 and 6, as said corner
is shown on that certain Record of Survey re-
corded February 9, 1970, in Book 33 of Maps,
at Page 72, Butte County Official Records;
thence North 0° 45' 07" West, 1290.89 feet to
the North sixteenth corner common to. said Section
1 and 6; thence North 89° 26' 41" East, 1592.45
feet to the Northeast corner of the parcel shown
on the above said Record of Survey, said point
designated as Oro-121-2 on said Record of Survey;
thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said
parcel to the Southeast corner thereof, desig-
nated as Oro-134 on said Record of Survey; thence
along the Southerly line of said parcel, North

SECTION 2.
The following regulations shall apply in an "RT-1"
(Pti.nimum-Density Residential-Trailer) District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
a. Single-Family dwellings.
b. Mobile Hermes to house one family, when such
Mobile Home is the only housing facility
located on the premises, provided the
following conditions are conformed to:

shall not be less than"500 square feet.
2. All sanitary facilities shall conform
to State Statutes and regulations and
to local requirements of the Health
Department; and
3. All electrical installations shall
conform to State Statutes and regulations.
c. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted
uses.
d. Household pets, but not including livestock,
poultry or poisonous reptiles.
2.2 LOT AREA REQUIRED:
Minimum lot area of a lot per dwelling unit or a Mobile
Home unit shall be nn less than eight thousand, one
hundred and .twenty-five (8,125) square feet excepting
where public sewage disposal service is provided, a
minimum of six thousand, five hundred (6,500) square
feet may be allowed for inside lots with a minimum
of seven thousand, five hundred (7,500) square feet
for corner lets.
2.3 LOT WIDTH REQUIRED:
P~Iinimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five
(65} feet.
2.4 FRONT YARD REQUIRED:
Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the
centerline of the road, except where the road is

classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
Road the minimum building setback requirement shall
be fifty-five (55) feet from centerline of said road.
2.5 SIDE YARD REQUIREMENT:
Minimum side yard shall not be less than five (5) feet.
2.5 THE FOLLOl~TING USES SUBJECT TO SECURING A USE
PERMIT IN EACH CAGE:
a. Golf courses and country. clubs.
b. Public and quasi-public uses including
churches, firehouses, hospitals, parks and
playgrounds, schools and public utility:

buildings.
SECTION 3.
All uses of land within the District not specifically
authorized and permitted in Section 2, are prohibited.
SECTION 4.
In compliance with the provisions of. said Enabling
Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding this Ordinance
in full.
SECTION S.
Butte County Ordinance No. 1073 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6.
The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby
imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after

its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTIOAT 7.
This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby declared to
be in fu11 force-and effect from and after thirty (30) days
after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of
fifteen (15) days after the date of its passage this Ordinance
shall be published once with the names of the members of the
Board of Supervisors voting for and against it in the Qrovil:le
Mercury Register°, a newspaper published in the County of Butte,
State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the 18th day of
May 19 71, by the following vote:
AYES; Supervisors Gilman, Madigan, Maxon, Mc~illop, and
Chairman Reynolds
