ORDINANCE N0. 1175
AN INTERIM ORDINANCE AMENDING COUNTY ORDINANCE 925,
CONSOLIDATING "R-1" (SINGLE-FAPRILY RESIDENTIAL)
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "R-1" (Single^Family Residential) District, and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so
zoned being located in Paradise, California, more particularly
described as follows:
Ali that part of the sauthwes~t quarter of Section 16,
T22N R3E, within the Paradise Irrigation District;
and, all of Section 21, T22N R3E, located north of
Skyway; excepting all that area of said Section 21
within X50 feet of the centerline o£ Skyway.
SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an
"R-1" (Single-k'amily Residential) District:
2.1 i3SES PERMi'~TED
a. Single^family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets {but not including livestock, poultry
or poisonous reptiles.)
2.2 LOT AREA:
a. Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall be no less than eight thousand, one hundred
twenty-five (8,125} square feet.
1 2.3 LOT WIDTH:
2i a. Minimum lot width shall nat be less than sixty-five
3 {65) feet.
4 2.4 FRONT XARD:
5 a. Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the
6 centerline of the road, except where the road is
7 classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
g Road the minimum building setback requirements shall
g be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of said
10 ~ road,
11 2. 5 SIDE XZ~RDS
12 a. Minimum side yard shall not be less than five {5)
13 feet.
1~ 2.6 The following uses subject to securing a use permit
15 in each case:
i6 a. Golf courses and country clubs.
17 b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
lg firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools
19 and public utility buildings.
20 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
21 specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
22 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of said
23 Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
24 this Ordinance in full.
25 SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
26 hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the

Zoning Enabling Ordinance. Zn compliance with the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect im-
mediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(15} days after its passage shall be published once with the names
of all members voting for and against the same in the
Paradise Post a newspaper in general oirculation
in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California. on the 15th day of

Chairman Reynolds
