AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROAD
WITHIN THE COUNTX OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

The Board o€ Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and determines and declares
a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows;
That a prima facie speed limit of THTRTX-FIVE (35) MILES PER HOUR is
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEEp LIMIT 35 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highway, to wit;
EVANS-RETI~ER ROAD from STATE HIGHWAY 99 to LARKIN ROAD
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in canflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
five or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie sp
limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of tte adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting far and against the same, once in a local
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California,
