AN ORDINANCE AMENDING BUTTE COUNTY CODE SECTION 21-54
AND PRESCRIBING RULES OF NOTICE AND PROCEDURE FOR THE
1 BUTTE COUNTY ASSESSMENT APP.~ALS BOARD
~ The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte do hereby
3 ordain as follows:
4 .Section. 1. Section 2154 of the Butte County Cade is
5 amended to read as follows:
6 Sec. 2154 Rules of Notice and Procedure.
7 The rules of notice and procedure, including all
8 rules of evidence, for proceedings before the assessment
9 appeals board shall be as provided by resolution of the
10 board of supervisors, A copy of the rules and of any ;
1Z amendments thereto, shall be provided by the clerk, free.
12 of charge to all persons filing applications for relief
13 from the assessment appeals board. Matters not covered
14 in the rules on file with the clerk shall be decided by
15 the majority of the assessment appeals board. Any
16 amendment to the resolution specifying rules of notice
17 and procedure shall apply to any matter pending before
18 the assessment appeals board on the effective date of the
19 amendment with the exception that no such amendment shall
20 be construed in a manner that would require a resetting
21 ~ of any application noticed for hearing on or before the
22 effective date of the amendment. Unless otherwise
23 specified by resolution, all rules and all amendments
24 thereto shall take effect immediately.

1 Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect thirty.
2 (3D) days after the date of its adoption, and before the expiration
3 of fifteen (15) days after its passage, it sha11 be published :with
4 the names of the members voting £or and against the same, once
5 in a newspaper ~ptibl'ished in fhe County of Butte, State of
6 California.
7 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
8 County of Butte, State of California, this 2gth day of June ~ ,
