WHEREAS, the Government Code, Section 25355 allows the Board of Supervisors to delegate to any
County officer or employee the power to "accept any gift, bequest, or devise made to or in favor of the County;"
WHEREAS, the Government Code, Section 25355 requires, upon delegation of such authority, that the
officer or employee fle a quarterly report with the Board of Supervisors that describes the source and value of
each gift valued in excess often-thousand dollars ($10,000.00};
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to acknowledge those individuals making donations to
the County of Butte.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California that all Butte County Department Heads are authorized to accept any monetary donations made to
or in favor of Butte County; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each Department Head shall file a quarterly report with the Board
of Supervisors that describes the source and value of each donation valued in excess often-thousand dollars
($10,000.00}; and shall send out a letter to each donor acknowledging the donation on behalf of the County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10th day of January 2012 by
the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
