HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-024WHEREAS, Tam Evans, MFT Program Manager of the Butte County Department of Behavioral Health (BCDBH},
has announced his retirement as of March 30, 2012; and
WHEREAS, Tom earned a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology and Counseling; and
WWEREAS, Tom began his career with the County of Butte on September 1, 1987 as a Marriage and Family
Therapist in the Intensive Case Management Adult Day Treatment program, and in 1998, he was promoted to Menkal
Health Supervisor of the Psychiatric Health Facility. In 2005, Tom was promoted to Program Manager over all of the
Crisis Services programs; and
WWEREAS, As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Supervisor and Program Manager, Tom dedicated himself to
providing excellent customer service to staff and the individuals and families served, and valued the role of educating and
empowering staff to provide the highest quality of work; and
WHEREAS, Tom has devoted his career to improving the lives of individuals with mental illness in our community
through his tireless focus on meeting their needs through his work; and
WHEREAS, Tom has worked diligently for the past 24+ years in the best interest of Butte County and its citizens,
earning the respect and confidence of his BCDBH colleagues, employees, and many county, state and community
partners; and
WHEREAS, Tom is now ready to enjoy his retired life with his family and friends.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RE50LVED that the Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of Butte
County, extends its appreciation for your many years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 27th day of March 27, 2012, by the following
vote:
AYES: Supervisor Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi and Chair Lambert.
NOES: None
