AN uRDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF GALIE'ORNIA

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California,
does ordain as follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described
come within the provisions of Section 2235$ of the Vehicle Code of the State of
Cali~'ornia, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and safe on said highways, and determines and declares
a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of TH3di:TY-FIVE (35) MILES PER HOUR is'
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES signs
be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County highways,
~ to wit:
9. LOTT ROAD from DURHAM HIGHWAY to ESQUON ROAD
2. OBERMEYER AVENUE from STATE HIGHWAY 99 to GILSTRAP AVENUE
Section 2; ,All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section The several features, parts, provisions, sections and term
of this ordinance are hereby declared independerit',and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inoper-
ative or invalid.
i Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate'signs giving notice of the prima facie spee
'limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.

This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in a local
,newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of Calif,3rnia,
