RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING DONATIONS
FROM THE OROVILLE MEMORIAL PARK COMMITTEE FOR PARKING LOT DESIGN
WHEREAS, in 2004, the Butte County Board of Supervisors accepted the Veterans Memorial park Expansion Site
Feasibility Study Final Report prepared at the request of the Oroville Veterans Memorial Park Committee; and
WHEREAS, in 2008, the Board of Supervisors approved acquisition of three parcels adjacent to the Oroville
Veterans Memorial Hall for the future home of the Oroville Veterans Memorial Park for all of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, $600,000 in Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Grant funds for the construction of two
parking lots on the County owned parcels has now been placed on the Butte County Association of Governments (BCAG)
approved project list; and
WHEREAS, the Oroville Veterans Memorial Park Committee desires to donate $20,000 towards the pre-construction
planning work.
NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors accepts $20,000 in donations from the
Oroville Veterans Memorial Park Committee to facilitate pre-construction planning work for two parking lots at the
Oroville Veterans Memorial Park for all of Butte County.
PASSES AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 12`~ day of June, 2012 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi'and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
