RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY
THE COUNTY OF BUTTE
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by Resolution on
March 24, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services; provided, however,
that such fees do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost of providing such services; and
WHEREAS, maintenance of a Master Fee Schedule serves the convenience of the County and all persons
affected by said charges; and
WHEREAS, an ordinance amending Chapter 10 of Butte County Code was recently adopted; and
WHEREAS, persons applying for Encroachment Permits under Chapter 10 of Butte County Code may be
required to pay the full County cost of services provided relative to the permit; and
WHEREAS, the cost of Maintenance and Fleet Services by Public Works was calculated as part of a cost of
service study performed in 2008/2009; and
WHEREAS, Qangerous Animal permit fee amounts were removed from Butte County Code far the purpose
of transferring said fees, without increase, to the Butte County Master Fee Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the Library initiates a large number of inter-library loans for a small number of patrons; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to increase the cost recovery ofinter-library loan requests; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to clarify that Farmers Market certifications may include
Producer's Certificates or Livestock/Poultry Certification letters; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires a reduction in fees for map copies provided by the Assessor's
Office; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the proposed fee
adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to adjust fees and to implement new fees for various
government services provided by the County of Butte as set forth in the above mentioned actions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopts the
adjusted fees as delineated in the attached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect
the changes. Fee adjustments shall become effective November 1, 2012.
