CONTROLLER TO REPRESENT THE COUNTY OF BUTTE IN THE ELECTRONIC ACCOUNTS PAYABLE PAYMENT
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Commerce Bank wishes to enter into a revenue sharing rebate agreement with Butte County to allow
the County to pay participating vendors electronically.
WHEREAS, there are no upfront costs or fees for the County to participate in this program and it can be
cancelled at any time,
WHEREAS, Commerce Bank as part of the agreement will enroll County vendors in the payment program,
thereby, providing County vendors the option to accept electronic payments,
WHEREAS, Commerce Bank as part of the agreement will process the accounts payable file and transmit
electronic payments to County vendors.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Auditor-Controller is hereby authorized to process payments to Commerce
Bank regarding the payments made to the vendors included in the accounts payable file,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Auditor_Controller is hereby authorized to represent the
County of Butte in the Commerce Bank Accounts Payable Agreement, to transfer existing short term debt established via
Purchase Orders, Contracts, etc., associated therewith, and to execute all documents to effectuate this purpose which
he may deem necessary and proper, including without limitation any application and agreement to open Vendor
Accounts.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, County of Butte, State of California, this 9th day of October,
2C12, by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi and Chair Lambert
