RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS FOR BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify
those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public; and
WHEREAS, each year the Library requests permission to close branches at 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday prior to
Thanksgiving, December 24th, and becember 31st; and
WHEREAS, the Library would like to have these special holiday closing times permanently established.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Library will be open to
the public effective November 21, 2012 as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the
preceding Saturday and all branches will close at 5:00 p. m. on the following days each year: the Wednesday prior to
Thanksgiving, December 24th and December 31st.
BE IT FURTHER RE50LVED that Resolution No. 11-021, adopted February 22, 2011, is hereby rescinded in its
entirety
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on this 6`h day of
November, 2012 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
NOT VOTING: None
