HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-122RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE COUNTY OF BUTTE BY INCREASING NEAL ROAD RECYCLING AND WASTE FACILITY FEES WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by Resolution on March 24, 2009; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees far services, provided, however, that such fees do not exceed the estimated reasonable cost of providing such services; and WHEREAS, the County of Butte, Department of Public Works, recently conducted a cost analysis study (Strategic Plan} to determine whether Solid Waste Enterprise Fund revenue is sufficient to meet operating requirements in accordance with Butte County Code Section 3-70; and WHEREAS, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the proposed fee increases prior to adoption of this Resolution; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to increase certain recycling fees for mattresses and box springs; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to increase gate fees per ton far self-haul vehicles and commercial haulers in accordance with the Neal Road Recycling and Waste Facility's Strategic PIan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopts the increased fees as delineated in the attached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule to reflect the increased fees. Increased fees shall become effective thirty (3Q) days after their adoption.
