STATE OF CALIFORNIA BOARD OF STATE AND COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS
WHEREAS the Butte County Sheriff s Office desires to participate in the Marijuana Suppression
Grant Program supported by the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program funds and
administered by the Board of State and Community Corrections (hereafter referred to as the BSCC).
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Sheriff terry Smith is authorized on behalf of this
Governing Board to submit the grant application for this funding and sign the Grant Agreement with the
BSCC, including any amendments or modifications thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Federal grants funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the implementing agency and partnering entities agree to
abide by the statues and regulations governing the federal Justice Assistance Grant Program as well as the
terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement as set forth by the BSCC.
Passed, approved, and adopted by the Governing Board of the Butte County Sheriff s Office in a meeting
thereof held on November 20, 2012 by the following:
AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Yamaguchi and Chair Lambert
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
