HomeMy WebLinkAbout12-138Resoution No. 1~-138 RESOLUTION FOR EMPLOYER PAID MEMBER CONTRIBUTIONS EPMC} WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has the authority to pay and report all or a portion of the normal contributions required to be paid by a CaIPERS member pursuant to Government Cade Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has the authority to implement, reduce, or eliminate the reporting under Government Code Section 20691; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has a written' labor policy or agreement or has passed an impasse resolution which specifically provides far the normal member contributions to be paid by the employer, or for the normal member contributions to be paid in part by the employee and in part by the employer (contingent upon the MOU or impasse resolution for the specific employee group), as designated below; and WHEREAS, in order to implement Government Code Section 20691 the Board of Supervisors of Butte County must adopt a Resolution reflecting any payment of said EPMC for the employee groups designated to received such benefit; and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of Butte County has identified the following conditions for the purpose of its election to pay EPMC pursuant to Government Cade Section 20691; Gr_ ouP 1: • This benefit shalt apply to all MISCEI.ANEOUS employees of: o Executive Assistants o Appointed Department Heads o Non Represented o Butte County Employee Association -General Unit o Butte County Management Employees' Association o Butte County Employee Association -Social Service Workers Unit o Butte County Correctional officers Association -General Unit o Butte County Professional Employees' Association • This benefit shall consist of paying 0% of the normal member contributions as EPMC. • The effective date of this Resolution shall be December 22, 2012. Grou 2: This benefit shall apply to all SAFETY employees of: o Appointed Department Heads o Non Represented o Butte County Management Employees' Association o Butte County Deputy Sheriffs' Association -Management and Supervisory Unit o Butte County Deputy Sheriffs' Association -General Unit o Butte County Correctional Officers' Association -Supervisory Unit o Butte County Correctional Officers' Association -General Unit o Butte County Probations Officers' Association • This benefit shall consist of paying 0% of the normal member contributions as EPMC. • The effective date of this Resolution shall be December 22, 2412. Group 3: • This benefit shall apply to all employees of: o Elected Board of Supervisors This benefit shall consist of paying 2% of the normal member contributions as EPMC. The effective date of this Resolution shall be December 22, 2012. Group 4: • This benefit shall apply to all MISCELANEOUS employees of: o Elected Department Heads This benefit shall consist of paying 7% of the normal member contributions as EPMC. • The effective date of this Resolution shall be December 22, 2012. Group 5: • This benefit shall apply to all SAFETY employees of: o Elected Department Heads This benefit shall consist of paying 9% of the normal member contributions as EPMC. The effective date of this Resolution shall be December 22, 2012. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Resolution supersedes and replaces Resolution 12-078 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte elects to pay EPMC, as set forth above. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this resolution is adopted on December 11, 2092 and effective December 22, 2092. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors, of the County of Butte, State of California, at a regular meeting of said Board, held on the 11'~ day of December 2012, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Connelly, NOES: None ABSENT: None NOT VOTING: None ATTEST: Paul Haan.
