AN ORDINANCE ZOfdING A PORTIOPJ OF THE COUNTY OF €3UTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, APJ "A-R" (AGRICULTURAL-RESIDEiJTIAL}
DISTRICT, A[1D E5TAf3LISJ{ING RE-GULATIOi'yS FOR TFiE USE OF
LAND AIVD Tf{E COf~JSTRUCTIOfd OF k3UILDIfaG5.
The uoard of Supervisors of the County of J3utte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, of said County
being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, as amended, DOES ORDAIid as
follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinbelow described area situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "R-P," (Agricultural-Residential} District and such
area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned
being located in Paradise, California, more particularly described

All that ,property previously zoned an "S-k{" (Scenic
}iigh~~~ay) District by butte County Ordinance f~Jo. 913,
lying on each side and within three hundred and fifty
(350 } feet of the centerline of Pentz P1aga1 i a k-ii gi~way,
from the southerly Paradise Irrigation District
Boundary to 4~fatstaff Road.
SECTIOfd 2, REGULATIONS FOR Aid "A-R" DISTRICT:
The folloaving regulations shall apply in ate "A-R" District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
trailers.
b. .Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Agricultural uses.
d. Livestock, subject to rec{uirements as follot~rs:
1. h1inimum lot area to be devoted to residential.
1 use shall be not less than eight thousand one
2 hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
3 2. Exclusive of the area devated to the residential
4 use, the follo4ring lot ar parcel areas shall be
~ required for each animal raised or kept on the

2.3 LOT AREA REQUIRED: t~iinirnum required area of a lot
per dwelling unit shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five (8,25} square feet.
2.~ LOT IdIDTH REQUIRED: ~~iinimum lot width shall not be
less than sixty-five (65} feet.
2.5 FRO~iT YARD REQUIRED: i~iinimum front yard shall be
fifty (50) feet from the ce.nterl i ne of the road, except rrhere 'the
road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road,
the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55)
feet from the centerline of road.
2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIREf~IEfdT:' F~°linimum side yard sfza7l not
be less tliarr- five (5} feet.
SECTI01'€ 3. In compliance with the provisions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTI01`d ~f. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed v~rithin the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance ti~titli the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from ar~d after
its effective. date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning j
Enabling Ordinance.
SECT~I01`d 5. Thi s Ordinance sl~a7 7 be and i t i s hereby de-
dared to be in full. force and effect from and after thirty (30}
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of
fifteen (25} days after the date of its passage tl~is Ordinance
shall be pub7isf3ed once with the names of the members of the Oaard
