~ SECTIOtd 1. The hereinbelow described area situate in the
g County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
g zoned as an "A-R" (Agricultural-Residential) District and such
10 area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and
11 regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so
~ zoned being located near Chico, California, r~ore particularly

SECTIOiy 2, REGULATIOE~S FOR Ay "A-R" DISTRICT: The
follot~ring regulations shall apply in an "A-R" District:
2.1 USES PERrkITTED:
a. Single-far~ily ds~rellings, not including tents or
trailers.
5. Accessary buildings pertinent to the perr~itted uses.
c. Agricultural uses.
d.~ Livestock, subject to requirer~ents as follows:
I. Minimum lot area to be devoted to residential
use shall be mat less than eight thousand one
-hundred twenty-five (8,125} square feet.
2. Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
use, the folla.ving lot or parcel areas shall be
. required for each anir~al raised or kept on the
prem15e5:
a} For~each horse or head of Cattle over one

twenty-five (8,125} square feet.
b} For each head of svrine over ten (i0! weeks

2.2 THE FOLLOt'I;1G USES SUBJECT TO SECiIRI~?C A USE PERi~?IT
IN EACH CASE:
a. Duplex d-~ellings and multiple-family d~vellings.
b. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted, tvould
permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro
shop, cocktail bar, restaurant.
c. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds,
schools and public utility buildings.
d. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
e. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
f. Nurseries and plant gardens.
2.3 LOT AREA REQUIRED: h?inimum required area of a lot
per dwelling unit. shall be not less than eight thousand one
hundred ttiventy-five (8,125} square feet.
2.4 LOT ?~iIDTH REQUIRED: ~ 1~inimum lot t~ridth shall not be
less than sixty-five ~b5} feet.
2.5 FROtyT YARD REQlliRED: Minir~um front yard shall be
fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except ti~rhere the
road is classified by the County ~~s a Federal Aid Secondary Road,
the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five ~5:z}
-feet from the centerline of road.
2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIRES=IEf~iT: ~~9inimum side yard sE~all not
be less than five (5} feet.
SECTI011 3. In compliance with the pravidions of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.

SECTION 4. The penalties for the vio3ation of the zoning
hereby imposed tvithin the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTTOiJ 5. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby de-
clared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30}
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration of
fifteen (15} days after the date of its passage this Ordinance
shall be published once with the names of the members of the Board
voting for and against i t i n the _ Ohico Enterprise -- -_ _ _ __
a newspaper in general circulation in the
County of Butte, .State of California. ~
