HomeMy WebLinkAbout1242/ ~ 5l oRDINANCE No. 12.42 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 14 (PROCEDURE FOR PRECISE ZONTNG AMENDMENTS) OF ORDINANCE N0. 475, KNOWN AS THE ZONING ENABLING ORDINANCE, The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County, being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, DO ORDAIN as follows: Section 1. Section 14 of Ordinance No. 475 of the County of Butte is hereby amended by adding thereto a new subsection, as follows: 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 2S 26 14.5 Procedure for Investigation in Prosecution of Zoning Violations. All other alleged violations of the terms of th zoning ordinances other than those provided for in Section 13,6 (c) shall be investigated by the Butte County Zoning Inspector. The Zoning Inspector shall make an inspection of the site;: on which the .violation is alleged to have occurred or to be occurring and shall determine if the site was and is being used in conformance with the zoning regulations governing that site, The Zoning Inspector will then complete a written report of his investigation and distribute copies to the Planning Director, Butte County Counsel and Administrative Officer within seven (7} days of his investigation. The Zoning Inspector shall also inform the owner and occupant of the site on which the zoning violation is alleged to have occurred or to be occurring of his findings within seven (7) days of the date of investigation. If the Zoning Inspect .report indicates that a violation does exist, he shall commence the collection of the proper evidence for the prosecution of the person or persons responsible for the violation. The form and content of the evidence to be specified and approved by the Butte County Counsel. Section 2. That this Ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after the date of its adoption, and before the expiration of.fifteen (15) days after. its passage, it shall be published with the names of the members voting for anal against the same, in the OroviZ~e Mercury , a newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
