Aid ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LINEIT ON CERTAIN ROAD
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTEs STATE OF GALIFORNIA

The BOARD OF SUPERVISORS of the County of Butte, State of California,
do ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter described
comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of the State
of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65) miles per
hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and determines and
declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of THIRTX-FTVE (35) MILES PER HOUR IS
hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described county
highway, to wit:
LINCOLN BOULEVARD from 1000 feet north of Messina Avenue to 1500
feet north of Kuse1 Road
Section 2; All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term thereof,
shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the same inopera-
tive or invalid.
Section 4: The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and before
the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with names of the members voting far and against the same, once in a local
newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
