The board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended, and declaring an emergency DOES ORDAIN as follovrs: SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "A-R" (Agricultural-Residential) District and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of Butte County knatan as Paradise, California, more particularly described as follows: Ali of the northern 19II0 ft. of the southeast quarter of Section 13, T22N.R3E, fiD6&P1. SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN °A-R" DISTRICT: The following regulations shall apply in an "A-R" District: 2.1 USES PERMITTED: a. Single-family dwelling, not including tents or trailers. b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses. c. Agricultural uses. d. Livestock, subject to requirements as folloars: 1) Minimum lot area to be devoted to residential use shall be no t, less than eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet. 1 2} Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential 2 use, the following lot or parcel area shall be g required for each animal raised or kept on the 4 premises: 5 a) For each horse or head of cattle over one (1} g year of age--eight thousand one hundred 7 twenty-five (8,125} square feet. g b) For each head of swine over ten (10) weeks g of age--eight thousand one hundred twenty- 10 five (8,125) square feet. 11' c) For each head of sheep or goats--two thousand 12' (2,000) square feet. 13 2.2 THE FOLLOWING USES SU6JECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT 1~' IN EACH CASE: 15' a. Duplex dwellings and multiple-family dtellings. 16' b. Golf courses, country clubs - if permitted, would 17 permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro lg shop, cocktail bar, restaurant. 19 c. Public and quasi-public uses including churches, 20 firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools 21; and public uti]ity buildings. 22; d. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming. 23 e. Veterinary clinics, outpatient. 24 f. Piurseries and plant gardens. 2g 2.3 LOT AREA REQUIRED: Minimum required area of a lot peg 26 dwelling uni t shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred tt~renty-five (8,125) square feet. 2. 1 9 10 11 12 13 1~k 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 2.4 LOT 41IDTH REQUIRED: Minimum lot ti~~idth shall not be less than sixty-five (65) feet. 2.5 FROPJT YARD REQUIRED: Plinimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the road is classified by the county as a Federal Aid Secondary Road, the minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55) feet from the centerline of road. 2.6 SIDE YARD REQUIREPIEPIT: h4inimum side yard shall not be less than five (5) feet. SECTION 3. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding this Ordinance in full. SECTION 4. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of .the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the zoning Enabling -0rdinance. SECTION 5. For the immediate preservation of tiie public peace, health an d, safety of the area hereinabove described, and the residents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this ordinance take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts constituting the necessity therefore is as follows: The adoption of such Interim Zoning Plan is necessary in the public interest, to maintain the status quo in such district pending the determination of the application far such permanent detail zoning. 3. 1 SECTION 6. This emergency ordinance shall take effect 2 immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen 3 {15} days after its passage shall be published once with the names 4 of all members of the Board of Supervisors voting for and against 5 the same in the PARADISJiJ POST a news- 6 paper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of ry California. 8 PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the 9 County of Butte, State of California, on the ?th. day of 10 March 1972, by the follovring vote: 11 AYES:SUPERVISOR.Madigan, McKi].lop, Reynolds and Chairman Gilman 12 13 NOES: None 0 14 ~~~"~ ABSENT: Supervisor Maxon 15 ~ 16 AR GI MAN, airman 17 Butte County oard of Supervisors lg ATTEST: 19 CLARK A.
