HomeMy WebLinkAbout1250ORDINANCE N0. 1250 l 2 3 4 5 6 7'' 8 9 10 11 12' 13 I4 15 I6 17 18 19 20 2I 22 23 24 25 28 27 28 29 30 3l 32 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE, 1970 EDITION, WITH APPENDICES THERETO, AS PREPARED AND PUBLISHED BY THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL OFFICIALS,PROVIDING FOR THE APPLICATION OF SAID UNIFI~RM PLUMBING CODE IN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte do ordain as follows: Section 25-1 of the Butte County Code is amended to read as .follows: Except as hereinafter provided, that certain Plumbing Code known and designated as the Uniform Plumbing Code, 1970 Edition, together with appendices thereto, as prepared and published by the Interna- tional Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials is hereby referred to, adopted, and made apart of this ordinance with the same effect as if fully set forth herein and is hereby declared to be the Plumbing Code of the County of Butte, and all the provisions thereto shall apply to all of the unincorporated areas of the County of Butte. Section 25-2 of the Butte County Code is hereby amended to read as follows: The Uniform Plumbing Code as adopted by Section 28-1 of the :Butte County Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1.0 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended by adding thereto the following paragraph: The provisions of this code shall also apply to gas, water and sewer services and accessory buildings for mobile homes located outside mobile home parks. Section 1.1 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Wherever the term "Administrative Author~y" is used in this code it shall mean the Director of Public Works of the County of Butte. Section 1.2 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended to read as follows: Wherever the term "Assistants" is used in this code, it shall mean the duly appointed assistants of the Director of 1 Public Works. 2 Section 1.3 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended to read. 3 as follows: 4 Unless otherwise provided by law, the office of the Admini- ~: strative Authority shall be the Department of Public Works of g the County of Butte. ry Subsection 10 of Section 1.4 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby g deleted. g The last paragraph of Section 1.7 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is 10 hereby deleted and the following paragraph added: 11 Every plumbing permit issued under this code sha11 expire 12 by limitation and become null and void after one {1) year from 13 the date of issuance of said permit; provided however, if said 14 plumbing permit is issued in conjunction with a building permit, lro said plumbing permit will remain active as long as the building, 16 permit is active. 17 Section 1.9 of said Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby amended by the lg addition of the following paragraphs: lg No permits shalt.: be required for any agricultural building. 20 Agricultural buildings are defined as follows: "Agricultural 21 building is a building located on agricultural property and. used 22 to shelter farm implements, hay, grain, poultry, livestock, or 2g other farm produce, in which there is no human habitation, is 24 not used commercially, and which is not used by the public." 2B No permits shall be required for detached structures which have 26 a total net area, including additions, of not more than 200 27 square feet, which would have an occupancy classification of 28 Type Jas defined in the Uniform Building Code, and which would 2g be detached a minimum of 6 feet from any building requiring a 30 building permit. This exemption shall apply to tool. Sheds, wood 31 sheds, and other Storage sheds. Section 1.12 of said Uniform Plwnbing Code is hereby amended by the addition of the following paragraph;: A plumbing permit may be transferred from the original permittee to another person due to change in ownexship ox contractor and the transfer fee shall be X2.00. Sections 2.1 through 2.11 of said Uniform Plumbing Code are hereby de7~ed. Section 1101 and Sections 1109 through 111$ of said Uniform Plumbing Code are hereby deleted. Sections 2$-3 and 2$-~. (as enacted by Butte County Ordinance ,~$$$) shall remain in effect. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force at the expiration of ~ thixty (30) days from and after its passage and before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after its passage sha11 be published once with the names of the members voting for and against the same in a newspaper of general eixcula- tion printed and published in the County of Butte.
