AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY OF BUTTE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, AN "AR~MH" (AGRICULTURAL RESIDENTIRL-
MOBILE HOME} DISTRICT, PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE N0. 475, AS
AMENDED.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475 of said County,
being the Zoning Enabling Ordinance of said County, as amended,
DOES ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area, situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "AR-MH" (Agricultural Residential - Mobile Home)
District, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and provided.
Said area so zoned being located in the unincorporated area of
Butte County, near Oroville, California, more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
All that part of the northwest quarter of the north-
west quarter of Section 26, T19N R4E, MDB&M, located
south of Foothill Blvd. and east of Lot 1 of "Thousand
Oaks Sub, Unit #1", per map recorded in Map Book 22 on
pages 9 and 10 in the Office of the Butte County Re-
corder.
Containing 0.76 acre, more or less.
SECTION 2. REGULATIONS FOR AN "AR-MH" DISTRICT:
The following regulations shall apply in an "AR-MH"
Distri ct:
2.1 USES PERMITTED
a. Single-family dwellings.
b. Mobile Homes - to house one family, when such mobile
home is the only housing facility located on the

premises, provided the following conditions are
conformed to:
1) l'he gross area of the mobile home shall not be
less than 500 square feet,
2) A11 sanitary facilities shall conform to State
Statutes and regulations and to local requirements
of the Butte County Health Department,
3) A11 electrical installations shall conform to
State Statutes and regulations as administered
by the Bui 1 di ng Di vi si an of the Butte County Publ i c
Works Department.
c. Accessary buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
d. Agricultural uses.
e. Livestock, subject to requirements as follows:
1) minimum lot area to be devoted to residential
use shall be.not less than eight thousand, one
hundred twenty-five {8,125) square feet.
2) Exclusive of the area devoted to the residential
use, the following lot or parce] areas shall be
required for each animal raised or kept an the
premises:
a) For each horse ar head of cattle over one {1)
year of age _ eight thousand one hundred
twenty-five {8,125) square feet.
b) For each head of swine over ten (10) vreeks of~
age - eight thousand one hundred twenty-five
{8,125) square feet.

1 c) For each head of sheep or goats - t4vo thousand
2 (2,000) square feet.
3 2.2 THE FOLLOWING USES 5U6JECT TO SECURING A USE PERMIT
4 IN EACH CASE:
~ a. Duplex dwellings and multiple-family d~r~ellings.
~ b. Golf courses, country clubs, if permitted, would
7 permit accessory uses such as driving range, pro shop,
g cocktail bar, restaurant.
g c. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,

Zp firehouses, hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools
11 and public utility buildings.
12 d. Commercial poultry farming and livestock farming.
13 e. Veterinary clinics, outpatient.
~~ f. Nurseries and plant gardens.
~~ 2.3 LOT AREA REQUIRED: Minimum required area of a lot
16 per dwelling unit shall be not less than eight thousand one hundred
~7 twenty-five (8,I.25) square feet.
18 2.4 LOT WIDTH REQUIRED: h9inimum lot width shall be not
lg less than sixty-five (65) feet.
20 2.5 FRONT YARD REQUIRED: Minimum front yard shall be
21 fifty (50) feet from the centerline of the road, except where the
22 road is classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Road,
23 the minimum building setback requirement sha11 be fifty-five (55)
24 feet from the centerline of the road.
ZS 2,6 SIDE YARD REQUIRED: Minimum side yard shall not be
26 less than five (5) feet.

1 SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
2 specifically authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited.
3 SECTION 4. In compliance with the provisions of the
4 Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
5 this Ordinance in full.
g SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
7 hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
g Zoning Enabling Ordinance, In compliance with the provisions of
g the zoning Enabling Ordinance, this ordinance shall be from and
lp after its effective date become a supplement to and part of the
17. Zoning Enabling Ordinance, -
12 SECTION 6. This ordinance shah be and it is hereby de-
13 dared to be in foil farce and effect from and after thirty (30)
14 days after the date of its passage, and before the expiration of
15 fifteen (15) days after its passage, this ordinance shall be pub-
16 lished once with the naves of the members of the Board of 5uper-
17 visors voting for and against it in the PARADISE POST

20 PAS5ED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
21 County of Butte, State of California, this 21st, day of
22 March 1972, by the following vote.
