BUTTE GOUNTY ORDINANCE N0. '~ 27:1.
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROADS
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE~'STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Section 22358)
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California

do ordain as follows;

Section I; Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an

engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highways hereinafter described
5
come within the provisions of Section 22358 0£ the Vehicle Code of the State of

California, in that a prima facie speed limit o£ sixty-five {b5) miles per hour

is mare than is reasonable and safe on said highways, and determines and declare

a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highways as follows:

A. That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) miles per hour

is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LTMTT 25 MILES

B. That a prima facie speed limit of Ehxrty-five (35) miles per hour

is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED LIMIT 35 MILES

highway, to wit:

LAPORTE ROAD from BTNET ROAD to ONE-HALF MILE SOUTHERLY.

Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith

are hereby repealed.

Section 3: The several features, parts, .provisions, sections and term

of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the invalid

ity, i£ any, of any feature, part, provision, section, or term thereof, shall no

affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render the saw inoperative or invali:.,

Section ~: The bepartment of Public Works of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie
speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the adoption hereof.
This oxdinance shall take effect thxtty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen (15) days after zts passage, it shall be pub-
lished with the names of the members voting for and against the same, once in
a local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of Californ~.a.
PASSED AND ADOPTEb by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte,
State of Californian at the regular meeting thereof on the 30th. ,~~, day
