AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTATN ROAD
WITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNJA
(Vehicle Code Sections 22357 & 22358)

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California does ordain as follows:
Section l: Said Board €inds and determines that upon. the basis of
an engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County Highway hereinafter des-
cribed comes within the provisions of Section 22358 of the Vehicle Code of
the State of California, in that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (65)
miles per hour is more than is reasonable and safe on said highway, and

determines and declares a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway
as follows:
That a prima facie speed Limit of FORTY-FIVE (45) MILES
per hour is hereby determined, declared and established and that SPEED
LIMIT ~+5 MILES signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-
described County highway, to wit:
SKYWAY from 1000-1- feat south of WYCLIFF WAY to HUPP-
COUTOLENG ROAD
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3: The several features, parts, provisions, sections
and terms of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable,
and the invalidity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or
term thereof, shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance, nor render
the same inoperative or invalid.
Section 4:s The Department of Public Works of the County of Butte
is hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima
facie speed limit established herein, within thirty (30) days of the
adoption hereof.
This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of fifteen days after its passage, it shall be published
with the names of the members voting for and against the same , once in a
local newspaper published in the County of Butte, State of California.
