AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING SPEED LIMIT ON CERTAIN ROAD
~~TITHIN THE COUNTY OF BUTTE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
(Vehicle Code Sections 22357 & 22355}
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California
I does order a s follows:
Section 1: Said Board finds and determines that upon the basis of an
engineering and traffic survey, the Butte County highway hereinafter-described
comes within the provisions of Section 22355 of the Vehicle Code of the State of
Cali~'ornia, s.n that a prima facie speed limit of sixty-five (b5} miles per hour
is more than is reasonable and :.safe on said highway and determines and declares
a prima facie speed limit on such Butte County highway as follows:
That a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25} miles per
hour is hereby determined, dec~,ared and established and that SPEED LIl`~LLT_2;~.,-NLU,ES
signs be placed at appropriate locations on the hereinafter-described County
highway, to wit:
MYRTLE .DRIVE from MANZANITA AVENUE to NORTH AVENUE
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
axe hereby repealedo
Section 3: The several Features, parts, provisions, sections and terms
of this ordinance are hereby declared independent and severable, and the in-
validity, if any, of any feature, part, provisions, section, or term thereof,
s~ia.ll not affect the remainder of this oxdixaance, .nor render the same inoperative
Ior invalid.
Section ~.: The Department of Public War1~s of the County of Butte is
hereby directed to erect appropriate signs giving notice of the prima facie speed
limit established herein, within thirty (30} days of the adoption hereof,

Tha.s ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage, and
before the expiration of f i~teen days after its passage, it sha11 be published
