HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-002WHEREAS, Employment and Eligibility Professionals are required to perform a multitude of tasks, on a daily basis, that require excellent skills in business, casework, and communication; and WHEREAS, Employment Professionals enhance the economic well-being of individuals, families, and the community by providing an array of services to assist job seekers and employers with their employment needs; and WHEREAS, in 2012, Eligibility Professionals assisted more than 26,000 households each month by awarding or maintaining benefits that provided temporary and/or emergency food, shelter, housing, and medical care; and WHEREAS, in 2012, Employment Professionals supported over 1,000 individuals, each month, by helping them to move forward in their efforts to attain self sufficiency, and WHEREAS, Employment and Eligibility Professionals have successfully implemented many changes to the Employment and Eligibility regulations, while employing innovative methods of service, such as online applications and other new technological advances; and WHEREAS, the aforementioned is possible because Employment and Eligibility Professionals are assisted, supported, and trained in the performance of their duties by a variety of highly-skilled administrative support and supervisory staff. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the County honors its Employment and Eligibility Professionals, Supervisors, and Administrative Support staff by proclaiming January 21st through January 25th, 2013 as Employment and Eligibility Staff Recognition Week in Butte County.
