FOR THE BUTTE COUNTY GENERAL ASSISSTANCE PROGRAM
PURSUANT TO WELFARE AND INSTITUTIONS CODE SECTON 17000 et Seq•
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors for the County of Butte has adopted the Butte County
General Assistance Manual, and the General Assistance program requirements within, pursuant to
Welfare and Institutions Code, section 17000 et 5eg.; and
WHEREA5, the Butte County General Assistance participant reporting requirement,
pursuant to the General Assistance Manual, requires participants to report household
circumstances monthly; and
WHEREAS, California Assembly Bill 444 (Chapter 1422, Statutes of 2002) required the
replacement of the CalFresh monthly reporting with periodic reporting cycles that are based on
household composition, and said changes were enacted; and
WHEREAS, it is prudent and practical to align the Butte County General Assistance reporting
requirements with the CalFresh reporting requirements; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the Butte County General Assistance manual to reflect
the current rules and regulations of the General Assistance program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. That the County of Butte adopt CalFresh reporting cycles for the Butte County General Assistance
program, effective April 1, 2413.
2. That adoption of the current CalFresh reporting cycles hereby aligns the frequency of the General
Assistance reporting requirements with the CalFresh reporting requirements.
That future changes to the frequency of the CalFresh reporting requirement be automatically
adopted by the Butte County General Assistance program, thereby continuing to keep the program's
reporting requirements in alignment.

4. That the content of the General Assistance manual be updated to accurately reflect the
adopted reporting rules made true by this resolution. Therefore, Section I, Articles C-D and
Section lil, Article B, are to be amended as follows: Instances of the word "monthly" are to be
replaced by the words, "periodic or periodically," to reflect the new reporting rules. Section
LC.1 is to be amended by adding the following sentence: "The due date of the reporting farm
shall be determined by aligning the General Assistance reporting requirement with the current
CalFresh reporting requirement."
5. That nothing contained in this resolution is intended to affect the current rules and regulations
of the Butte County GA program, other than the frequency to which GA participants are
required to turn in a standardized report farm. Participants will still be required to report
neither verbally or in writing) any changes to income, property, employment, disability status,
and/ar household composition, within 10 calendar days of occurrence.
That nothing contained in this resolution is intended to affect the right of the County of Butte
to implement in any manner permissible by law or subject to the discretion of the Board of
Supervisors any change in law effective after the date of this resolution which permits counties
to further adjust General Assistance program requirements.
