ORDINANCE NO. 130'G .
AN ORDINANCE ZONING A PORTION OF THE COUNTY QF
BUTTE AN "S -2" tSUBURBAN--RESIDENTIAL} DISTRICT.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
California, under. and pursuant to Ordinance No. g75 of said Caunt~
being the Toning Enabling Ordinance as amended, DO QRDAIN, as
follows :
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described, area situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "S-2" (Suburban-Residential) District and such area
shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regu_
lotions hereinafter specified and provided.
Being a portion of the south half of Section 15, T2lN,
R3E, MDB&I~!, described as beginning at a paint located
on the west line of said Section I5 and 250 ft. north
of the southwest corner of said election 15, thence
continuing north along said west lane 1645.31 ft.;
thence east, parallel with the south line of said Section
15, to the west line of Clark Rd.; thence south along
the west line of C~.ark Rd.; 515.79 fte; thence west
parallel with the south line of said Section 15,
557.5 ft.; thence south parallel with the *.aest lane
of said Section 15, 1034.25 ft,; thence west parallel
with the south line of said Section.l5, 1992.~J~ ft.
to the point of beginning, containing g~. acres, more
or less.
SECTION 2. Regulations for an "~-2" District. The
following regulations shall apply in an "S-2" Districts
2.1 USES PERMITTED:

a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or
mobile homes.

b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
2.2 .Agricultural uses, except livestock, subject to the
following requirements:

eight thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet.
b. For each head of swine over ten (10} weeks of age,
e~.ght thousand one hundred twenty-five (8,125} square feet.
c. For each head of sheep or goats, two thousand {2,D00}
square feet.
2.3 LOT ARE A: Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling
unit shall he~ not less than one (~.} acre.
2.4 LOT WIDTH: Minimum lot width shall be not less than
one hundred thirty {13(3) feet.
2.5 FRONT YARD: Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50)
feet from the centerline of the road except where the road is
classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary Raad, the
minimum building setback requirement shall be fifty-five (55}
£eet Pram the centerline of said road.
2.6 SIDE YARD: Minimum side yard shall be not Less than
ten (10) feet.
SECTION 3. The following uses subject to securing a Use
Permit in each case:
a. Public and quasi-public uses, including churches.
b. Hospitals, parks and playgrounds, schools ar~d public

utility buildings.
SECTION 4. -All uses of land within the district not
specifically authorized and .permitted in Sections 2 and 3 are
prohibited.
SECTION 5. In compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding

SECTION ~. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and
after its effective date became a supplement to and part of the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 7. This Ordinance shall be and it is hereby de-
d ared to be in full force and effect from and after thirty (30)
days after the date of its passage; and before the expiration
of fifteen {15) days after its passage this Ordinance shall be
published once with the names o£ the members of the Board voting
for and against it in the Paradise Pos-'~ a newspaper
published in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED BY the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Butte, State of California, this 13th day of N'ovembe~ ,197'2,
by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Ladd, Madigan and Chairman Gilman.
