HomeMy WebLinkAbout13-010RESOLUTION DISCONTINUING THE POSTAGE REVOLVING FUND
WHEREAS, the Butte County Board of Supervisors, pursuant #o Government Code Section 29321, established by
Resolution 95-128 a revolving fund for the use of the County Administrative Officer as Purchasing Agent for the purchase
of postage and postal services; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors authorized the Butte County Auditor-Controller to perform the functions of the
Board in the operation of the fund and in establishing and funding a bank account for such purposes; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 29320 et seq. allows far the discontinuance of any revolving fund and defines the
manner in which it is to be discontinued; and
WHEREAS, it is determined, that due to technological advances, the Postage Revolving Fund is no longer necessary for
the purchase of postage and postal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors as follows:
1. The Purchasing Agent's Postage Revaluing Fund is hereby discontinued effective February 2$, 2013; and
2. The Auditor-Controller is directed to close the postage bank account, effective January 31, 2013, and to
immediately thereafter deposit the entire account balance into the County Treasury; and
3. Any bond issued for the Postage Revolving Fund, pursuant to Government Code Section 29323, is rescinded or
amended by endorsement to strike reference to the Postage Revolving Fund.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all prior resolutions pertaining to the Postage Revolving Fund are hereby rescinded.

AYES: Supervisors Connelly, Wahl, Kirk, Lambert and Teeter
