THE TARGETED EMPLOYMENT AREA (TEA)
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING A TEA AS REQUIRED
BY THE ENTERPRISE ZONE ACT OF 1996
Resolution iVo. 13-035
WHEREAS, a California Enterprise Zone was legally established in 2007 in the Oroville area
including the area within the city limits of Oraville and the portion of the unincorporated Butte County included
in Exhibit A attached; and
WHEREAS, a Targeted Employment Area designation for the Oroville Enterprise Zone is
required by the Enterprise Zone Act of 1996; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish by resolution the boundaries of a Targeted Employment
Area.
NOW, THEREFORE, the County of Butte resolves as follows:
1. Pursuant to the provisions of the Enterprise Zone Act of 1996, Chapter 12.8, Division 7 of Title 1 of the
Government Cade, the Targeted Employment Area of the Oroville Enterprise Zone shall be the
fallowing census tracts as designated on the map attached hereto as Exhibit B and by this reference
incorporated here at. Portions of tracts are indicated with an asterisk.

2. That the above census tracts and partial tracts designated on Exhibit B meet the requirements for
greater than fifty-one percent (51%} of residents at low or moderate-income as established by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development using the most recent United States Department of
Census data.
3. Tha# the census tracts and partial tracts listed above and designated on Exhibit B are under the
jurisdiction of the City of Oroville andlor County of Butte with jurisdiction of the Enterprise Zone.
RESOLVED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the County of Butte on this 12th day of March
2413 by the following votes:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
