ENHANCEMENT FOUNDATION, AS THE LOCAL PARTNER FOR THE CALIFORNIA ARTS COUNCIL'S STATE-LOCAL
PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, Butte County has previously, on March 23, 2004 and May 24, 2011, designated Friends of the
Arts-Butte County as the local partner for the California Arts Council's State-Local Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, Butte County would be eligible far state art funds should the County have an arts council that
meets funding criteria of the California Arts Council's State-Local Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, the Friends of the Arts, a program of the 501c3 Upstate Community Enhancement
Foundation, has applied for funds on behalf of Butte County upon receiving the Board's designation in past
years; and WHEREAS, the Friends of the Arts is eligible to apply for funds and has shown the desire and
motivation to merit being granted the title of Butte County's Arts Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Butte County Board of Supervisors does hereby designate
Friends of the Arts the local partner for the California Arts Council's State-Local Partnership Program through
the Fiscal Year 2013-14.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 9th day of April, 2013 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
