RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE FOR SERVICES PROVIDED
BY THE COUNTY Of BUTTE
WHEREA5, the Board of Supervisors established the Butte County Master Fee Schedule by
Resolution on March 24, 2009; and
WHEREA5, the County of Butte is authorized to adopt and implement fees for services; provided,
however, that such fees do not exceed the estimated reasonable cast of providing such services; and
WHEREA5, the County of Butte has conducted a comprehensive study of the casts of praviding
services entitled "Interim Report on a Cost of Service Analysis Related to User Fees and Regulatory Fees"
prepared by NBS and dated January 2009; and
WHEREAS, maintenance of a Master Fee Schedule serves the convenience of the County and all
persons affected by said charges; and
WHEREA5, a public hearing was noticed and duly conducted to allow consideration of the prapased
fee adjustments prior to adoption of this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, the Library has recently introduced certain electronic devices into circulation for the
benefit of library patrons and overdue fines for such devices do not yet exist, and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors finds it to be in the public interest to encourage pet owners to
spay or neuter their cats by allowing for the waiver of certain impound, transport, and boarding fees where
the owner agrees to have their cat spayed or neutered through the animal shelter program; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors desires to increase the fee for Phytosanitary Certificates
issued by the Agricultural Commissioner in order to provide for greater cost recovery.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte adopts
the adjusted fees as delineated in the at#ached Exhibit A and amends the Butte County Master Fee Schedule
to reflect the changes. Fee adjustments shall become effective September 29th, 2013.

following vote:
