RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF SHELTER OPERATIONS
DURING THE 5WEDE5 FIRE
BY
THE OROVILLE CHURCH OF THE NAZARENE
WHEREAS, The Oroville Church of the Nazarene has consistently and generously offered its facility as a shelter
during times of emergency and disaster in Butte County; and
WHEREAS, During the early morning hours of August 17, 2013, the Oroville Church of the Nazarene opened its
doors to allow for the set up and continuous operation of a shelter for evacuees from the Swedes Fire until all
evacuation orders were lifted on the evening of August 19, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Butte County appreciates the flexibility and understanding of the church staff and its members for
the needs of the community.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOLVED, the Butte County Board of Supervisors would like to recognize and thank
the Oroville Church of the Nazarene for its service to the citizens of Butte County.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10`h day of September, 2013 by the following
vote
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
ABSENT: None ,~~~~
