TO BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Government Code 25355, the Board of Supervisors is authorized to accept
any gift made to the County; and
WHEREAS, the Durham Recreation and Park District is the owner of the Durham Memorial Hall; and
WHEREAS, the Durham Recreation and Park District Board wishes to support the work of the Butte County
Library and the Joint Friends of the Library including Library Friends from Chico, Durham, Gridley, Oroville and Paradise;
and
WHEREAS, in honor of the Library's Centennial, the Board for the Durham Recreation and Park District waived
the $400 security deposit and allowed the partial use of the kitchen without the usual $150 rental fee for the November
16th Centennial celebration; and
WHEREAS, the County of Butte wishes to acknowledge and thank Durham Recreation and Park District for its
generous discount of the rental of the Memorial Hall.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Butte County Board of Supervisors accepts with thanks the waiver
and reduction of usual and customary fees for use of the Durham Memorial Hall.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 8th day of October, 2013 by the following
vote.
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
