RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PUBLIC SERVICE HOURS FOR BUTTE COUNTY LIBRARY
WHEREAS, Butte County Code Section 2.1 provides that the Board of Supervisors may, by resolution, specify
those hours during which individual departments will be open to the public; and
WHEREAS, County residents regularly request more services hours for their local branch libraries.
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors approved funding for expanded hours in the FY 2013-14 Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Butte County Board of Supervisors that the Library will be open to
the public effective November 3, 2013 as follows:
Biees Branch Gridley Branch
Tuesday noon - 6 pm Tuesday noon - 6 pm
Saturday 10 am -4 pm Wednesday noon - 6 pm
Thursday 10 am -4 pm
Friday 10 am -4 pm
Saturday 10 am - 4 pm
Sunday 1 pm -Spm
Chico Branch Oroville Branch
Monday 9 am -Spm Tuesday 11 am -6 pm
Tuesday 9 am - 7 pm Wednesday 11 am - 6 pm
Wednesday 9 am - 7 pm Thursday 10 am - 5 pm
Thursday 9 am - 7 pm Friday 10 am - 5 pm
Friday 9 am - 5 pm Saturday 10 am - 5 pm
Saturday 9 am - 5 pm Sunday 1 pm -Spm

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all branches normally closed on Mondays will observe Monday holidays on the
preceding Saturday and all branches will close at 5:00 p. m. on the following days each year: the Wednesday prior to
Thanksgiving, December 24th and December 31st.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution No. 12-121, adopted November 6, 2012, is hereby rescinded in its
entirety.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California, on this 8`" day of
October 2013 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
NOES: None
NOT VOTING: None
ABSENT: None
