RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF DIANNE BORCHERT
UPON RETIREMENT FROM
BUTTE COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Dianne Borchert, Social Worker, Senior of the Department of Employment and Social
Services (DESS), has announced her retirement as of December 27, 2013; and
WHEREAS, Dianne began her career with the County of Butte on October 14, 1985 as an Eligibility
Worker I and successfully moved up the career ladder to Eligibility Worker II, then to Social Worker I, II, III, and
to her current responsible position as an Children's' Services Social Worker, Senior since 1997; and
WHEREAS, Dianne has devoted her career to assuring that children and families in our community
were served in a caring and professional manner; having served as an Eligibility Worker and Staff Trainer, and
Children's Services Social Worker in various capacities; and
WHEREAS, Dianne has provided excellent service to the community; in particular in the diligent
research of options for children who have needed temporary care in out of home placement where she was
instrumental in the development of current departmental placement processes; and
WHEREAS, Dianne has worked diligently for the past 28 years and two months in the best interest of
Butte County and its citizens, earning the respect and confidence of her supervisors, her peers, and many
county, state and community partners; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board, on its own behalf and on behalf of the citizens
of Butte County, extends its appreciation for your many years of dedicated service.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 10`h day of December 2013 by the
following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Wahl, Kirk, Lambert, Teeter and Chair Connelly
