1 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
2 California under and pursuant to Ordinance lio. 475, as amenc'.ed,
3 and declaring an emergency, DO OItDAIIQ, as follows:
4 SECTIOII 1. The hereinafter deSCYi'rJed area situate in the
6 County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
6 zoned as ail "S-2" (Suburban-Residential} District for a period of
7' 90 days, and such area shall be subject to the restrictions and
S restricted uses and regulations hereinafter specified and
9 provided. Said aroma so zoned being located near Oroville, more

utility buildings.
SECTION 4. &111 uses of land vzithin the district not
specifically authorized and permitted in Sections 2 and 3 are
pr. ohibited.
SECTION 5. In compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.
SECTION o. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of
tae Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and after
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the Zoning
r^.nabling Ordinance .
SECTION 7. This urgency ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen

The facts constituting the urgency on c~~hich this Ordinance is
rased areo
1. The existing A-~ Zone permits uses Tahich may be
imcom;~atible z^*th the developed single family dcaelling nature of
the stU~ject area.
7... The Planning Commission is considering a petition
requesting rezoning of the subject area into zoning districts more
restrictive than the existing districts.
3. "'his urgency ordinance is necessary to preserve the
public health, safety and z~relfare in the subject area until saic.
rezoning to "S-2" is decided.
