The I~oard of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of
ICalifarnia, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended,
and declaring an emergency, DO ORDAIN as follows
SECTION ~.. The hereinafter described area situate in the
County of Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby
zoned as an "R-~l" (Single-Family Residential) District, for a .
period of ~p ~~ days, and such area shall be subject to the
restrictions and restricted uses and regulations hereinafter
specified anal provided. Said area so zoned being located in
Paradise, California.
Beginning at the intersection of Stearns Road
with the northwest corner of "El Sobrante Park",
per map recorded in Map Boak 28 on Pages 39 and
40 in the Office of Butte County Recorder, thence
east tv the northeast corner of said "E1 Sobrante
Park" also being the west right-of-Nray line of
Pentz Magalia Highway; thence northeasterly to the
northwest corner of "Pineland Park Subdivision",
per map recorded in Map Book 26 an pace 38, in
the Office of Butte Caunty.Recorder, thence
east to the northeast earner of said "Pineland
Park Subdivision", said corner also being the
narth~~rest corner of "Country Club Estates , Ifni t
No. 2", per map recorded in Map Book 20 on pages
34 and 35 in the Office of Butte County Recorder;
thence continuing east along the north line of
sai d "Gauntry C1 ub Estates , fJni t Na. 2", to the
northeast earner of said Sub, also being the
east Paradise Irrigation District boundary;
thence south along the east Paradise Irrigation
District boundary to the southeast corner of
Lot 19 of "Fai rLVay r1anor Sub" , per map recorded i n
flap 8 ook l9 on pages 46 and 47 i n the Office
of Butte County Retarder; said corner of Lot 19
bei-ng in the eastwest centerline of Section 3O,
T22N, R4E, MD3&~!; thence west along said east-.
west centerline to Pentz-Magalia highway; thence
continuing vrest alana said eastwest centerline
to the west quarter corner of said Section 30,
also being the southwest corner of Lot 8 of

SECTTON 2. The following regulations shall apply in an
"R-~1" {Single-Faanily Residential) District:
2.1 USES RERMTTTED:
a. Single-family dwellings. not including tents or
trailers.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets (but not including livestocY, naultry
or poisonous reptiles.}

a . Minizrium required area of a lot per dwelling unit
shall. be no Less than eight thousand, one hundred
twenty-five (8,125) square feet.

a. ~,inimum lot width shall not be less than sixty-five
- ( 6;5 ) feet .
2.4 FRONT YARD:
a. ~~inimum front yard. shall be fifty (5~) feet from the
centerline of the road, except where the road is
classified by the County as a Federal Aid Secondary
Read the minimum building setback requirement shall
be fifty--five (55} feet from the centerline of said
road .
2.5 SIDE YARDS;
a. ~~inimum side yard shall not be less than five {5}
feet.
2.6 The following uses subject to securing a use permit
in each case;
a. Golf courses and country clubs.
b. Public and quasi-public uses including churches,
firehouses, hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools
and public utility buildings.
SECTION 3. All uses of land within the district not
specifically autharized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited
SECTION ~. In compliance with the provisions of said
Zoning Enabling Ordinance, the same is hereby amended by adding
this Ordinance in full.,
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning
hereby imposed within the district shall be as provided in the
Zoning Enabling Ordinance. In compliance with the provisions of

the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordinance shall from and afte
its effective date become a supplement to and part of the boning
Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. For the immediate preservation of the public
peace, health and safety of the area hereinabove described, and
the residents and inhabitants thereof, it is necessary that this
ordinance take effect immediately. A declaration of the facts
constituting the necessity therefore is as follows:
The adoption of such Interim Zoning Plan is necessary in
the public interest, to maintain the status quo in such district
pending the determination of the application far such permanent
detail zoning.
SECTION 7. This emergency ordinance shall take effect
i-~mediately upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen
(15) r3.ays after its passage shall be published once with the name:
of all members of the 33oard of Supervisors voting far and against
the same in the Paradise Post a newspaper in
general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of Butte, State of California, on the ~Q~_ day of
