The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State
of California, DO ORDAIN, as follows:
Section 1. Ordinance N~nber 1284 of the County of Butte
is hereby amended to read as follows:
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein,
hospital physicians, may upon written authorization of
the Medical Director, or in absence of the Medical Director the
Hospital Administrator, shall be paid in addition to the base
monthly wage $25 per weekday on ca11 and X50 for holiday of
weekend day on call, Hospital physicians called back during the
on-call period assigned shall be paid an equivalent of the
straight hourly rate of the total hours of service performedo
Section 2, This Ordinance is an ordinance for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, and safety
shall take effect immediately in accordance with §25123 of the
Government Cade of the State of California o Before the expiration
of fifteen {15) days after the date of its passage this Ordinance
sha11 be published with the names of the members voting for
and against it in proville ~Iercur.Y~--_, a newspaper printed
and published in the County of Butte, State of Californian
The reason for the facts constituting the urgency is
to provide for the health, care and safety of patients in the
County Hospital during non-business hours and to assure all such
patients at the County Hospital that they wi11 be provided
prompt medical care.
