The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, State of California
under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 475, as amended, and declaring an emergency,
Da ORDAIN as follows:
SECTION 1. The hereinafter described area situate in the County of
Butte, State of California, shall be and it is hereby zoned as an "R-l" (Single-
Family Residential) District, for a periad.of ~ ~ ?p days, and such area
shall be subject to the restrictions and restricted uses and regulations herein-
after specified and provided. Said area so zoned being located in Paradise,
California.
The south half of the southwest quarter of Sec b, T22N, R4E, MDB & M;
the east 1,000 ft. of the north half of the southwest quarter of
Sec 6, T22N, R4E, MDB & M; and the west 6b0 ft. of tine south half
of the southeast quarter of Sec 6, T22N, R4E, MDB & M; containing
l30 acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. The following regulations shall apply in an "R-l" (Single-
Family Residential) District:
2.1 USES PERMITTED:
a. Single-family dwellings, not including tents or trailers.
b. Accessory buildings pertinent to the permitted uses.
c. Household pets (but net including Livestock, poultry or poisonous
reptiles.)
2.2 LOT AREA:
a. Minimum required area of a lot per dwelling unit shall be no Less
than eight thousand, one hundred twenty-five (8,125) square feet,
2.3 LOT WIDTH:
a. Minimum Lot width shall not be Less than sixty-five (65) feet.
2.4 FRONT YARD:
a. Minimum front yard shall be fifty (50) feet from the centerline

of the road, except where the road is classified by the County as
a Federal Aid Secondary Road the minimum building setback require

2.5 SIDE YARDS:
a. Minimum side yard shall not be less than five (5) feet.
2.6 The following uses subject to securing a use permit in each case:
a. Golf courses and country clubs.
b. Public and quasi-public uses including chhrches, firehouses,
hospitals, parks, playgrounds, schools and public utility
buildings.
SECTION 3. All uses of Land within the district not specifically
authorized and permitted in Section 2 are prohibited..
SECTION ~+. In compliance with the provisions of said Zoning Enabling
Ordinance, , the same is
hereby amended by adding this Ordinance in full.
SECTION 5. The penalties for the violation of the zoning hereby
imposed within the district shall be as provided in the Zoning Enabling Ordinanc
In compliance with the provisions of the Zoning Enabling Ordinance, this Ordi-
nance shall from and after its effective date become a suppiiment to and part of
the Zoning Enabling Ordinance.
SECTION 6. For the immediate preservation of the public peace, health
and safety of the area hereinabove described, and the residents and inhabitants
thereof, it is necessary that this ordinance take effect immediately. A
declaration of .the facts constituting the necessity therefore is as follows:

interest, to maintain the status quo in such district pending the determination
of the application for such permanent detail zoning.

SECTION 7. This emergency ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage, and before the expiration of fifteen {l5) days after its II
passage shall be published once with the names of all members of the Board of
Supervisors voting for and against the same in the ,
a newspaper in general circulation in the County of Butte, State of California.
